Research & Program Evaluation

The Center for Family and Community Well-Being conducts research and program evaluation in partnership with faculty collaborators and community organizations, frequently serving as the tracking and evaluation arm for university initiatives across disciplines such as medicine, public health, environmental health and engineering. Its research employs a range of rigorous designs, including randomized controlled trials, propensity score matching and other quasi-experimental and descriptive approaches, with a strong emphasis on mixed methods and qualitative expertise. In program evaluation, the Center works with diverse community partners to carry out needs assessments, organizational assessments and formative and summative evaluations.
