Roundtables
Our roundtables provide an intimate and engaging forum for our members to discuss subjects of mutual interest and share their experiences, challenges and stories of success to learn from each other. In this confidential environment, participants discuss a variety of issues moderated by experienced professionals. We have CEO, next generation leaders, family leadership, executive leadership, non-family executives, HR and retired CEO. Not sure where you fit? We can help!
Monthly education opportunities
We offer at least ten educational opportunities annually for our members, with topics and presenters carefully selected through comprehensive education needs surveys and our member-comprised education committee. Our diverse programming covers critical areas including succession planning, governance structures, legal considerations, exit planning and contingency planning. We regularly feature inspiring stories from family business leaders and convene expert panels to address the complex challenges facing family enterprises.
These 90-minute sessions are designed to help members plan strategically for the future, prepare for unexpected challenges and develop essential tools for maintaining family harmony within their business operations. Each opportunity provides practical insights and actionable strategies that members can immediately apply to strengthen their family business legacy.
Cohorts
For topics requiring deeper exploration beyond our standard 90-minute format, we offer specialized cohort programs that merge educational content with the collaborative spirit of our roundtables. These intensive learning experiences tackle complex subjects such as succession planning and finance and accounting for non-financial managers – areas that demand sustained focus and peer interaction.
Cohort participants commit to approximately six months together, typically meeting for half-day sessions that combine expert presentations from guest speakers with meaningful peer discussions. This extended format allows members to build lasting relationships while developing comprehensive knowledge in specialized areas. Participants emerge with both enhanced expertise and valuable connections to others navigating similar challenges within our community.
Family Business Summit and Awards
Our signature annual event serves as both an inspiring educational experience and the center's official annual meeting. The summit features distinguished keynote speakers who share insights relevant to the evolving landscape of family business, providing members with forward-thinking perspectives and actionable strategies.
The awards component recognizes exceptional leaders within our community – both individuals and businesses – who demonstrate outstanding achievement and contribute meaningfully to the family business sector. Beyond recognition, award recipients share their wisdom and practical advice with their peers, embodying our community's core principle of members learning from and supporting one another. This celebration of excellence reinforces the collaborative spirit that defines our center and inspires continued growth and success among all members.
