FAQs

The Additive Manufacturing Institute of Science and Technology (AMIST) Print Farm provides access to 3D printing services for students, faculty, and staff at the University of Louisville. The facility supports part production via Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) and Vat Photopolymerization (SLA) technologies.

Submitting a Print

To request a print:

  • Complete the submission form: JotForm Submission Link
  • Upload your .stl file and name it clearly for easy identification
  • After review, you will receive an email with your build time estimate and next steps

 Printing Process

  • Users do not operate the printers themselves; all printing is handled by AMIST staff
  • Once printed, parts will be placed in a labeled bin
  • You will be notified via email when your part is ready for pickup, along with the bin number
