The Health Resources Core provides pilot support for outstanding new clinical and translational research.

Thanks to a generous grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Louisville Clinical and Translational Research Center's Health Resources Core is excited to announce two new award opportunities designed to fund clinical and translational researchers tackling significant health issues affecting Louisville, Kentucky, and the surrounding region.

Funding Opportunities

Pilot Grants
Available funding is up to $75,000/yr in annual direct costs for one year (up to $50,000/yr. in annual direct costs from the NIH with an additional $25,000/year in institutional matching funding from the University). 4 projects funded per round.
Developmental Grants
Available funding is up to $125,000/yr in annual direct costs for two years (up to $75,000/yr. in annual direct costs from the NIH with an additional $50,000/year in institutional matching funding from the University). 2 projects funded per round.

Core Services

The Louisville Clinical and Translational Research Center provides a variety of services, including community engagement and outreach, professional development, funding opportunities, research design consultations and more.
