Director of the Institute of Molecular Cardiology

Roberto Bolli is a professor of medicine in the University of Louisville School of Medicine in the Department of Medicine and is a cardiologist at UofL Health. Bolli graduated from the University of Perugia (Italy) in 1976. After completing a research fellowship at the NHLBI and a clinical fellowship in cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine, he joined the faculty at Baylor, where he rose to the rank of professor. Joining the University of Louisville in 1994, he he served as chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine until 2020. He is a Distinguished University Scholar, the Jewish Hospital Heart & Lung Institute Distinguished Chair in Cardiology and the Legacy Foundation of Kentuckiana Distinguished Chair in Cardiology.
