About Us
The Brown Cancer Center is dedicated to providing world-class patient care and discovering new and improved cancer therapies.
Introduction
The Brown Cancer Center’s catchment area encompasses all northcentral, central, western, and southwestern Kentucky counties, although we routinely treat patients from all over the continental United States. Long considered one of the leading Cancer Centers in pioneering the clinical implementation of biologic- and more recently, cell-based, immunotherapies for advanced and/or refractory cancers, the BCC has built a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary Immuno-Oncology Research Program right here in the state of Kentucky. Joining our equally impactful Experimental Therapeutics and Cancer Control and Care Research Programs and supported by the Cancer Center’s state-of-the-art Drug Discovery Pipeline and other cutting-edge research Core Facilities, our research faculty and students are pushing back the frontiers of discovery and innovation in identifying new – and improving existing – treatments for all kinds of cancers.
