Drug Discovery Platform
The University of Louisville Drug Discovery Platform utilizes an accelerated approach to identify initial hits and to support drug development to the preclinical stage. The platform is comprised of five individual University of Louisville Core Facilities that provides unique support for the drug discovery process that includes biophysical characterization, protein production, medicinal chemistry and lead optimization, molecular modeling and NMR studies. The platform uses the latest in computational methods to conduct in silco screening of millions of compounds to identify initial hits followed by rigorous experimental validation and development in vitro.
