We are proud to join in the celebration of 50 years of the Child Development Associate® (CDA) Credential™, and the recognition of the @cdacouncil for Professional Recognition for its tireless efforts in bolstering the CDA's growth across the nation!

The CDA is the most widely recognized certification in early childhood education. It equips educators with the knowledge and competencies to provide high-quality care and learning experiences for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, supporting children during their most critical years of development.

From only 12 credentialed educators at the CDA's inception in 1975, to over one million CDA holders today, the program has grown and evolved under the Council’s guidance, further expanding from center-based care to home visitors, family child care providers, and even high school students pursuing careers in early childhood education.

Here’s to the Council for Professional Recognition for 50 years of impact, and to the next 50 years of strengthening the field of early childhood education!
