In accordance with the provisions of Kentucky Revised Statute (KRS) 224.46-315 [PDF], KPPC is governed by a board of directors that represent various facets of Kentucky state and local government, industry, agriculture, higher education, environmental protection and the community at large. Members are appointed by the Kentucky Governor and serve terms as outlined in Subsection 2 of KRS 224.46-315. [PDF].

KPPC is Kentucky's primary resource to help business, industries and other organizations develop environmentally sustainable, cost-saving solutions for improved efficiency. KPPC is based at the University of Louisville J.B. Speed School of Engineering.
