Lissa McCracken
Executive Director

Ms. McCracken was appointed Executive Director of the Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center in April 2015. She has served as Acting Director since 2013 following the retirement of Cam Metcalf. Ms. McCracken has over 20 years of experience in the environmental field and has been a KPPC team member since 1998. She has also served as Communications & Outreach Program Manager, Pollution Prevention Specialist and Training Coordinator at the Center. Prior to joining KPPC, Ms. McCracken held positions as an environmental inspector, engineering technologist and enforcement specialist for the Kentucky Division of Waste Management.
Mark Toda
Senior Sustainability Engineer
Mark has over 30 years of experience in providing engineering and technical assistance to business and industry. Working with an industrial extension program at Penn State University, he provided engineering-based improvement opportunities to Pennsylvania manufacturers and entrepreneurs in a variety of technical areas, including new product development, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. At KPPC, Mark continues to provide pollution prevention, energy engineering and sustainable manufacturing assistance to Kentucky business and industry. Mark is a certified energy manager (CEM) with the Association of Energy Engineers.
Matthew Newcomer
Sustainability Engineer

Matthew has three years of experience in the manufacturing sector. Prior to coming to KPPC, he worked as a Process Engineer for Nifco America where he addressed process efficiency impacts and resolution of production related issues that achieved product consistency and waste minimization outcomes. Matthew was also responsible for establishing and documenting product trials for standardization. Additionally, he worked on process improvement projects and developed data automation tools.
Andrea Rock
Senior Sustainability Engineer
Andrea has 20 years of experience working with commercial, industrial and educational facilities, assisting them with identifying energy conservation measures and HVAC system optimization opportunities. Prior to coming to KPPC, Andrea worked as the energy manager for Bullitt County Public Schools where she was responsible for developing the district’s energy management program and was the main operator of the building automation systems. Andrea is a certified energy manager (CEM) with the Association of Energy Engineers.
