The LeaderShift Lab
People often suffer from the leadership (or lack of leadership) they receive from the people in authority over them. When this happens, the cost to organizations, communities and individual lives is staggering. Yet the leadership development industry largely preaches to the choir. Conferences, executive education and required courses overwhelmingly reach people who already practice positive leadership or are already interested in doing so. Those who most need to learn positive leadership rarely show up – and when they do, they tune out. Our driving question: How do the uninterested become interested in practicing positive leadership?
Research Fellowships
On behalf of the Sam and Bonnie Rechter Family Trust, the Center for Positive Leadership awarded research grants to applicants who became Rechter Fellows in Positive Leadership from 2020 through 2026. Fellows used these grants to research topics related to positive leadership and to develop leadership tools. Please see the researchers and their research summaries below.
