What is Positive Leadership?

Positive leadership is a type of leadership that motivates others to follow of their own free will because they are inspired by the virtues they see in the leader. Virtues are standards of moral excellence such as courage, compassion, integrity, humility, ambition, generosity, curiosity, or resilience. When people follow because they feel inspired and elevated, they adapt, build upon, and contribute to a team's efforts in ways that take the desired outcomes to entirely new levels.

Dr. Ryan Quinn, our Academic Director, explains what the Center for Positive Leadership does and how we define positive leadership.
