The Metabolism & Toxicity Core has been supporting the needs of all the projects and developing new methods for sample and data analyses.
The core recently developed:
- A new platform for untargeted and unbiased analyses of urinary metabolites
- Tests for measuring VOC metabolites in wastewater samples to assess community level VOC exposure
- Advanced techniques to analyze the immune cells in human and animal blood and mouse tissues
- A workflow for the analyses of single cell RNA sequencing
The core also aids with the measurement of various biomarkers of exposure and biomarkers of harm in VOC-exposed specimen and in the biochemical and pathological analysis of human and animal samples. The Core has analyzed >1000 blood samples, >950 urine samples and assisted with a variety of biochemical and pathological tests to assess VOC toxicity.
