Courier Journal: Park opens in heart of downtown Louisville. What we know about the Trager MicroForest
January 19, 2026Downtown Louisville is now home to a public greenspace.
The Trager MicroForest, which opened to the public in May, is part of phase one of planned development spearheaded by the University of Louisville Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute.
"We need more green space in downtown Louisville; we need more healthy spaces all across our entire city," Mayor Craig Greenberg said at the park opening in May.
