Frederick Ekuban receives Young Faculty Research Award

Frederick Ekuban, assistant professor, Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition, and LCTRC Presidential Scholar, was awarded the Young Faculty Research Award from the Southern Society for Clinical Investigation at its annual meeting, Feb. 28, in New Orleans. Ekuban presented his research on the effects of PFAS (“forever chemicals”) and alcohol in liver injury.
