Trainee Accomplishments

Congratulations to trainees on their recent accomplishments! CIEHS is proud to recognize the hard work and dedication of trainees and their mentors as they continue to advance their research and professional development.

• Isaiah Burciaga successfully defended his NIEHS-funded dissertation on July 2 under the mentorship of Cynthia Corbitt.
• Xiaoqing Wang, a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of ShaoYu Chen, received a Junior Investigator Award from the Research Society on Alcohol at its annual scientific meeting in June 2026.
• Esther successfully defended her thesis under the mentorship of CIEHS member Banrida Wahlang.
