During sesquicentennial, McConnell Center Fellow highlights 'War in the Mountains'

Dr. Thomas Mackey, a Civil War expert, is one of three guest speakers at the Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum's Civil War Symposium. The April 16 event at Lincoln Memorial University will focus on "War in the Mountains."

Other guest speakers include Dr. Earl J. Hess (Lincoln Memorial University) and Dr. Brian McKnight (University of Virginia at Wise).

The year 2011 marks the beginning of sesquicentennial Civil War commemoration events and activities.
