McConnell Center's Civic Education Program announces professional development programs to Maryland, Kansas for KY teachers

The following all-expense-paid conferences are co-sponsored by the McConnell Center and Liberty Fund, Inc.

Conference admission includes airfare, lodging, meals, entrance fees and related materials. Extensive pre-reading required. Each conference is limited to 15 participants.

Kentucky social studies teachers (grades K-12) are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to teachers who have not participated in the McConnell Center's Civic Education Program.

Conference applications are due Nov. 28, 2012.

• March 7-10, 2013: Institutions of Freedom: Federalism and the Separation of Powers | Baltimore, Maryland
• March 21, 24, 2013: Liberty & Responsibility in the Cold War | Lawrence, Kansas
