WHAS11: Louisville's urban heat is rising with nearly every neighborhood getting hotter

A study found Louisville’s summers are getting hotter, and depending on where you live, a hot afternoon in your neighborhood may be much hotter than other parts of the city.
The University of Louisville’s Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute, in partnership with TreesLouisville, recently shared results from a 2026 follow-up study analyzing Louisville’s tree canopy and urban heat island.
