Anna Bocook, of Boyd County, Ky., is a member of the McConnell Scholar Class of 2029 at the University of Louisville. She is studying American Sign Language interpreting studies (BS) with minors in political science and mathematics.

High School

Anna is a graduate of Paul G. Blazer High School, where she was captain of the Academic Team, president of the Science National Honor Society, and involved in the Beta Club, Bridge Builders, National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, FRYSC Advisory Council, and Community Trivia Team. She also performed community service with the Aspire Conservatory Theater Arts Program, Ashland Middle School STEM Camp, and through tutoring, Vacation Bible School, and babysitting.

I am looking forward to the meaningful friendships and connections I hope to make while in the program and the diversity of perspectives I will get to experience.
