Ezra Foote, of Calloway County, Ky., is a member of the McConnell Scholar Class of 2029 at the University of Louisville. He plans to earn a BA in political science.

High School Experience
Ezra is a graduate of Calloway County High School, where he was the Kentucky Future Business Leaders of America State President, Calloway County High School Senior Class President, Beta Club President, Interact Club President, and Captain of the CCHS KAAC Social Studies Team. He was a member of the CCHS tennis team and participated in the 2024 Kentucky RECC Youth Tour Delegation. He attended the Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs in 2023 and is an Eagle Scout of the Boy Scouts of America. Ezra also participated in the Sleep in Heavenly Peace Build a Bed program. He served as chairman of the Main Impact Federal Credit Union Community Service Youth Board, and was a member of the Calloway County Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention Youth Council.
After attending the 2024 Young Leaders Academy, I became very interested in the center and all the amazing opportunities it offers. I look forward to participating in the program and meeting the other scholars.
