McConnell Center Congratulates Top Student Leaders Across UofL Campus

June 15, 2026

McConnell Scholars will lead the way at the University of Louisville through representation in the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Engage Lead Serve Board (ELSB) during the 2026-27 academic year

The Student Government Association features four “Top 4” positions, for which students can declare their candidacy, campaign across campus, and compete in a university-wide election. The McConnell Center has built a strong track record of preparing students for these roles, with three scholars elected to the “Top 4” last year and two this year.

These students were selected based on their academics, previous leadership capabilities, skills and vision for the position. The McConnell Center is equally as proud of our students for continuing to show up and get involved on campus through SGA executive staff, ELSB, SAB and many other registered student organizations.

“I’m so excited to be working with the rest of the top 4 and SGA to create a space where all students can feel seen and valued,” said Riley Maddox ‘27.

Below are the students who will represent the McConnell Center across campus during the 2026-2027 academic year in top roles in  UofL’s student government.
