Finding Us
The Southern Police Institute is located in McCandless Hall on the University of Louisville's Belknap Campus. McCandless Hall is situated along the main entrance loop, making it one of the most accessible buildings on campus – it is the last building on the east side of the loop before you reach the main gate, just past Brigman Hall. If you are coming through the main gate, McCandless Hall will be the first building you encounter.
Step-by-Step Directions
- Enter the University of Louisville's main entrance at 2301 S 3rd St.
- Follow the loop that leads to the historic, bronze-cast Thinker Statue.
- You'll see the West Information Center on your right. Stop here to request a visitor parking pass.
- After obtaining your pass, proceed to the visitor parking lot.
- From visitor parking, head east back toward the main entrance along the loop.
- You will pass Brigman Hall on your right.
- McCandless Hall is the next building, just past Brigman Hall — the last building before the main gate.
Parking Information
Visitor parking is available with a pass obtained from the West Information Center. Please ensure you display your visitor pass clearly in your vehicle to avoid any parking citations.
