Housing
While on-campus housing is no longer offered for the Administrative Officers Course, SPI has partnered with The Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville to provide AOC participants with semester-long accommodations at the Waterfront Residences at a significantly reduced rate.
The Galt House is offering double-occupancy suites featuring private bedrooms and bathrooms, along with a wide range of upgraded amenities and services, for just $63 per night (approximate estimate for 90 days: $5600). Private residence parking is also available for $50 per month. Located only a short drive from the University of Louisville, The Galt House places participants in the heart of downtown Louisville with convenient access to restaurants, entertainment, and the waterfront.
Accepted applicants to the AOC interested in lodging at The Waterfront Residences at The Galt House Hotel will be sent special instructions to make reservations that honor the agreed upon rate.

Additional expenses to plan for
In addition to lodging, students should plan for transportation expenses between their residence and the institute. A one-week midterm recess is scheduled to allow students time to return to their agencies, gather and develop information needed for required projects, and continue progress toward course objectives. Departments are encouraged to cover all or part of the travel expenses associated with this midterm recess.
Meal allowances should follow each department’s standard travel reimbursement practices and reflect typical costs for a medium-sized city such as Louisville, Kentucky.
Please note that these suggested expenses are advisory only and are not binding on any agency.
Students interested in purchasing a meal plan through the University of Louisville can find additional information through the university’s Dining Services website.
