The Kentucky Coalition for Healthy Communities (KCHC) is a group of community members, organizations, and healthcare professionals working together to improve the health and well-being of older adults in rural Kentucky. They focus on building social networks and resources that support the development of a strong workforce to care for older people.
Who is Involved
KCHC is an "umbrella" coalition, bringing together diverse participants, including:

- Older adults, caregivers, families, and community members
Goals
- Promote workforce development for geriatric care in rural communities.
- Increase community support for older adults.
- Empower community members and professionals to work together for healthier communities.
Monthly Community Meetings
KCHC hosts community meetings on the 3rd Friday of each month, in collaboration with Project ECHO: Care of Older Adults. These gatherings provide training and foster open discussions, helping community members and professionals access valuable information and tools to improve the lives of older adults.
