Virtual Friendly Visitor Program

The Virtual Friendly Visitor Program (VFVP) connects volunteers with older adults who feel isolated and lonely. Through regular virtual visits, volunteers provide a supportive space for participants to share and learn about each other, reducing the physical and mental health risks associated with isolation.

Volunteer information

  • Must be 18+ (or under 18 with an adult sponsor).
  • Must complete VFVP training.
  • Available to meet with participants every other week for at least 6 months.
  • Requires a smartphone, tablet, or computer for virtual visits.

Participant information

  • Open to adults 50+ and persons with disabilities (age 18+) experiencing limited social support.
  • An intake specialist will help evaluate if you qualify for a loan of technological equipment.
